In the Upper Range of Our Stone Sizing - 4" down to 2"
This covers products such as rip rap rock (can be significantly larger, depending on the chosen product), larger-size river gravels, as well as surge stone and ballast rock. Their weight makes them a sturdy and excellent decorative stone, especially for creating borders and outlining gardens and driveways.
In the Mid Range of Our Stone Sizing - 2" down to 1/2"
This covers products such as Granite and Limestone gravels, along with River Rock and Recycled Crushed Concrete. Materials in this size range are commonly used for driveway applications, where 3/4" gravel for driveways is one of the most popular choices due to its balance of stability, drainage, and ease of installation.
In the Lower Range of Our Stone Sizing - 1/2" down to fines (industry term for sand, stone dust, and tiny particles)
Products in this range include different types of pea gravel (1/2" or 3/8"). Crushed, angular materials are notably more compactible and suited for creating a base layer - products such as Crusher Run, Sand and Screenings.
